The agency will be responsible for raising the profile of Sapienza Travel’s European tours for the culturally curious.
Charles Barber, The Economist’s former VP of PR and thought leadership, founded the company after he left the publication to pursue his own ventures.
Munch founder Lizzie Earl first worked with Barber when she ran The Economist’s pan-Asian PR account at Golin Hong Kong.
She lead the team responsible for raising The Economist’s profile and showcasing its editorial content to business savvy, intelligent potential readers in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Japan.
“Munch was the first agency I thought of when I decided to launch Sapienza Travel, as I’ve been extremely impressed by the agency’s results-driven approach,” said Barber. “We needed a team that could quickly grasp the cultural significance of our tours.”
He added: “When working with Lizzie Earl previously, she led her team to deliver some of the best coverage we saw, often working with extremely niche and intellectual global topics, so I knew Munch was the perfect.”
Earl continued: “From a personal perspective, it will be wonderful to work with Charles Barber once more on a hyper-targeted campaign to reach the right audience for the business. We specialise in delivering tangible results – like traffic, sales and downloads – so we’re expertly placed to support Sapienza Travel’s launch.”
